Now I have a mentor

Yay! My “yrittäjän oppisopimuskoulutus”, which apparently translates to English as entrepreneur’s apprenticeship/on-the-job-training (including classroom instruction), is moving forward.

24.9.2025 Kicking off the mentoring

Today I had my first online meet up with my new mentor. My mentor will be Petra Vairimaa. She is also an entrepreneur, member of the Helsinki Guides association and offers guided tours in Greater Metropolitan Area of Helsinki, Finland. Her company is called Evenio Oy

Petra has a varied and inspiring background not only from tourism industry, but also corporate world. She has studied ethnology in Germany and museology in Finland and many other topics as well. She even holds a taxi driver license and therefore can be a combiner driver-guide in Helsinki TukTuk tours.

I’m impressed by her adaptability and willingness to help fellow guides (in the making). She appears to have broad networks and plenty of great ideas.
